Similarities: Both Stacyc and Mondraker allow you to control the power mode, and as your child show proficient use and understanding of the brake and the ability to coast and brake while standing. Start them with a speed similar to what they can push the non-powered version at, and they learn the use of the  throttle, and a long coast turn into a constant use of throttle and giggles. Both brands are fairly lightweight for easy maneuverability, come with interchangeable batteries and the motors are brushless.

Differences: The Mondraker comes with disk brakes while the Stacyc does not. The Stacyc has mag wheels and pneumatic tires while the Mondraker models come with real rubber tires for a more mountain bike feel and response. The Stacyc has more of a dirt bike feel with smaller footrest than the Mondraker. The Stacycs are priced less than the Mondraker models, but pricing and sales tax may differ between dealers.

Mondraker Grommy 12 and 16

Kids can switch between power modes using a throttle selector on the twist grip. Grommy 12 with 12” wheels are for 3-5 year old kids. Grommy 16 with 16” wheels are for 5-8 year old.
