• Geometry to get kids moving: Geometry is at the heart of safety, fun, and progress. Even exploring the local neighborhood demands a progressive, capable geometry if we want our kids to safely develop proper riding skills. Just like all of the Early Rider Belter series, the 16 features short stays so that kids have the maneuverability to navigate tight spaces. A relaxed head angle keeps them in control when they bump those curbs and a handlebar high enough for comfort, but low enough to optimize pedal efficiency - so crucial for riding up hills.
• A 5.9kg aluminum frame, beautifully crafted to last: Early Rider uses 6061-grade aluminum in their bikes. It's a fantastic material. Strong yet light, weatherproof and super robust. It’s also a responsive material transferring more power from the pedals to the wheels. In real terms, this means it’s easier to pedal further for longer. The benefit is a bike that literally goes the distance.
• A no rust, no fuss carbon drive train: The Gates Carbon Belt drive is just a brilliant piece of kit. It replaces the traditional steel chain and cassette with a robust, stretch resistant and best of all completely grease-free drivetrain. It’s easy to clean, requires almost no maintenance and is good for 20,000 km. Paired with a top-tier hyperglide freehub and aluminun sprockets, you get peak performance from a bike that’s always ready to ride.
  
• Wheels that reset expectations: The Belter wheelset is built for sustained performance, helping little legs travel further and cope with more obstacles over and again. Early Rider was the first bike company to bring cartridge bearings and cassette hubs to any kids bikes. And with the game changing impact Early Rider's latest 4 bearing model has had on weight, friction and durability, they had no choice but to roll it out. Coupled with super light weight aluminum rims and cartridge bearing throughout, you can look forward to more of the riding you love, and less of the maintenance you don’t.

Smooth running on the flats, more grippy in wet and more stable over bumps. Now you don’t have to worry if you get caught out by the weather or if you venture off the path. And with more air there is more cushioning, so that riding won’t just be safer and more adventurous, it’ll be more enjoyable too.
• Touchpoints that elevate control: Every one of The Belter’s touchpoints, be that the bars, saddle, pedals or grips has been anatomically designed to properly fit and function for super small riders. Ritchey Logic have been at the forefront of component design for the past 50 years. Early Rider has collaborated with them for over a decade, producing some of the best age specific components to ever grace a kids’ bike.
• Little levers, big stopping power: The Belter 16 features powerful, age specific Tektro V brakes with ultra short reach levers and light-pull actuation, making braking easy even for the smallest hands. Braking feedback is smooth and responsive, helping new riders learn what smooth stopping feels like, right from the start. The all-aluminum lever construction ensures the brakes aren’t at risk should the bike be dropped to the ground.

Our "Ride Happy" Guarantee: We want you to love your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we offer hassle-free returns on all orders.

You have 30 days from receiving your order to initiate your return with us:

• Returns must be in NEW condition with original packaging and product tags.
• You are responsible for packaging and return shipping. You may purchase a return shipping label from us, which is likely your least expensive option with our discounted rates.
• Regarding bikes, please take it for a "test ride" to make sure it's right for your Rider! Our standard for still being in new condition after a "test ride" is similar to a local bike shop offering test rides outside its shop. We understand some "dust on the tires," but please keep it new (and hold on to packaging) until you are sure you're keeping it!
• Your original shipping cost is non-refundable.

WARRANTY

Ready Set Pedal stands behind all products we sell. Most of our brands (including all bikes) offer a limited warranty. We will work directly with the manufacturer (on your behalf) to evaluate and process your warranty claim. If the issue/defect is deemed eligible to be covered under warranty, we work to get you a replacement, repair or refund as quickly as possible. If you're experiencing an issue/defect with an order, please contact us for support.
